What is all the fuss about? People have been aging for all time but until recently we did not have a great way to categorize the movement and add dimension to professional knowledge and offerings including “stay in your home” best practices.
NAHB (National Association of Home Builders) NAHB.org has created and approved a three day set of courses to help you navigate through the next wave of client needs! These courses are CEU approved for 2016-2017!
CAPS – what does this mean? “Certified Aging in Place Specialist” is an esteemed designation direct from NAHB and sets the pros apart from the less knowledgeable interior designers, remodelers and health care professionals.
Curriculum includes an entire section devoted to the following design principles and widely recognized terms: Universal – Adaptable – Accessible – Visitable
Learn what pros across the country have learned about each facet of living at home. Upon completion you have a set of reference materials for ongoing reference to address individual needs. After taking these courses Your knowledge increases and your profits increase as clients discover You have an advanced “skill set” and they can verify upon designation approval you are CAPS certified on NAHB national website.
